Current Gallery Exhibition

In September 2025, Edward Eberle's son, Jonathan, discovered two small "shoebox"-sized boxes. One labeled "Cellar Drawings" in white ink contained many small drawings Ed made from 2008-2010, and significantly more from throughout his career. We knew these drawings had to be shared with the world! Drawing was Ed Eberle’s first joy, and primary to his artistic career. They convey a sense of intimacy never before seen in Ed's many portfolios and archives.

Upcoming Gallery Exhibition

DATA SCULPTURE: New Works by Paul Higham

Opening Reception: Sept 12, 2026, from 6-9PM

Closing Event: Oct 17, 2026, from 6-9PM

Eberle Studios Gallery is excited to present DATA SCULPTURE: New Work, a solo exhibition by Paul Higham. As an early pioneer of digital sculpture and computational art, Higham revisits concepts of encryption, retrieval, and corruption. One of the featured works titled “Time of Flight” synthesizes scans of Nike and “Winged Victory of Samothrace” with coding to produce emergent outcomes. The 3D-printed form references remote data acquisition and agency in both ancient and modern indices. For example, Nike was sent from the hand of Athena to fly as an agent—a precursor to the kinetic drone technology of today. Another work, “Call of Duty,” retrieves metadata from the warfare video game to create a corrupted series of abstract pixel forms of voxels and sigils.

A collection of new works including sculptures made from 3D prints to cast metal, virtual sculpture, and works on paper will be exhibited. Key sculptures will be shown in physical form alongside virtual versions, where they dissolve and rebuild through encryption, retrieval, and corruption. Also featured is a survey of rarely seen early computational, 3D-printed, and rapid prototype works dating from the 1970-90s presenting Higham’s early concepts: autotecture, SpaceSampling, and data sculpture.

Opening Saturday, Sept 12, 2026 from 6-9 PM at Eberle Studio Gallery, DATA SCULPTURE: New Works reactivate Higham’s early concepts bringing them into the present moment, reflecting on his long-term engagement with AI and coding resonating with renewed relevance in today’s world.
