Dusty was introduced to ceramics by his dad when he was young, and now calls himself a student of ceramic arts. His preferred medium is clay, though he also has an interest in mixed media sculpture and digital art and interface design.

He likes exploring sculptural and functional forms, incorporating macabre, fantastical and mechanical elements into his work. Lately, he's been exploring sgraffito and mishima techniques.
